Clans in Vela are small: up to 10 people, and no alliances. The owner decided so: this is a server for friends, and a clan is a group of friends, not an army. In exchange, a clan has plenty of shared goals. Members build six buildings together, each giving a bonus to everyone, complete weekly tasks, fight for castles, storm the Echo Siege and measure their strength in the Guild Battle.

Clan projects — buildings

Six buildings, each with 3 levels. Any member can contribute: adena and hunting zone resources. Once everything for a level is collected and the clan level is high enough, the building grows and every member gets the bonus. The bonus is granted on login and when you join the clan, and removed when you leave.

A building's third level is written to the Chronicle. Contributions to buildings advance the world's Path of Prosperity (Paths of the World).

Weekly tasks

Clan counters for the week. A completed task gives the clan XP and reputation once a week. Party kills count for the clans of every participant who was nearby.

Clan perks

Clan reputation can be spent on perks (the Privileges tab): convenience and luck, not damage. Each perk has 3 levels, but a clan has as many perk points as it has clan levels. There are 15 levels in total, so you can't take everything: the clan has to choose.

The leader buys them, or whoever has the right to manage ranks. Once every 7 days the leader can reset all perks and get back 50% of the reputation spent. Clan gate doesn't work in combat, with a PvP flag, in instances, at events or sieges: it's for gathering a party, not for PvP reinforcements.

Clan lands

Three open zones a clan can claim over a week. There are no walls: anyone can hunt there, and several clans can claim the same lands.

  • Weekly goal: 500 kills of monsters in the lands by clan members. A party kill counts for the clans of everyone who was nearby.
  • Reward: the lands are claimed for 7 days. While a clan member is inside, they get +10% XP, SP, adena and drop chance.
  • Teleport to your lands from the clan window — 100,000 adena.

Clan ranking

The clan window has a Ranking tab: level, members, reputation, buildings, perks, lands, Guild Battle points and castle for every clan. The same ranking is on the server website, on the Chronicle page.

What else a clan has

  • Clan halls — 8 halls (Aden, Dion, Floran, Giran, Gludin, Gludio, Goddard, Talking Island) with a weekly auction for adena. They give the clan buffs, teleports and regeneration, as in Essence.
  • Orc Fortress — the standard Essence clan battle, every day at 10:54.
  • Clan radio in the launcher's voice chat: clan members hear you at any distance while you hold the radio key. Details — Proximity Voice.
  • Clan warehouse: only those the leader has given the right can take from it.
  • The Guild Battle moves the clan sector on the Vela Exchange.

Tips

  • Start with the Tavern and the Treasury: 5M adena and low-zone resources pay off quickly for everyone.
  • The "Herald of the Shadow" task is the easiest: one hunt for the Herald during a Shadow of the World with the whole clan.
  • The Arena task gets done along the way: 5 wins per clan per week.
  • Before Sunday, decide where the clan goes: to a castle at 20:00, then everyone together to the Echo Siege at 21:00.

FAQ

Why only 10 people? It's a server for friends. Small clans keep the balance: there's no 50-person zerg, and even a clan of 3 friends can reach the same goals.

Can we team up with another clan? There are no alliances. But in the Echo Siege, all living players are one team.

Do building bonuses disappear if I leave the clan? Yes, they're removed when you leave and granted again when you join a clan with buildings.
