Newbie Chain and Skip
The Essence tutorial (race quests up to level 25 and the shared part up to 45) is done once per account. Your next characters can skip it and get all its rewards at once. How it works.
Essence walks a new character through a long quest chain: your race's quests up to about level 25, then a shared part up to 45. It's a good tutorial — once. In Vela, the first character on an account plays through it, and every next character is offered a skip: get all the chain's rewards right away instead of running the same quests again.
When the skip unlocks
The skip is offered if any character on this account has finished the race part of the chain (its last quest, around level 25). The first character goes through the tutorial on their own — without that the button won't appear, and .tutorial will tell you why.
What Skip gives
The character immediately gets all quest rewards of the chain for their class line that they haven't received yet — the same items, level-up, XP and SP:
- a level-up to 45;
- sealed jewelry;
- a talisman bracelet and a brooch;
- an agathion bracelet and a hat;
- potions and scrolls.
The chain's quests are marked as completed. After that, change class twice — to the 1st and 2nd profession: the class change button appears on its own, just like after the real chain.
Play it
The same rewards for 20–40 minutes of play: the quests guide you through Essence zones, and you get XP and adena from monsters along the way. The choice isn't final — you can always go back to the skip with .tutorial while the chain isn't finished.

FAQ
The window didn't appear. It isn't shown to characters of level 45 and above, to characters who've already finished the chain, or if no character on the account has finished the race part yet. Type .tutorial — the server will tell you the reason.
Does the skip give less than playing through? No, the same chain rewards for your class line. You just won't get the XP and loot from monsters along the way.
Can I skip on my first character? No. The first character on an account plays the tutorial themselves.
How many characters per account? Up to 7.
